Methodist Charlton Medical Center Receives Two “Best Hospital” Awards

Methodist Charlton Medical Center recently received two awards for being voted “Best Hospital” by members of the Best Southwest community.

“We are extremely honored to be recognized as the Best Hospital by The Suburban News and Focus Daily News,” says Methodist Charlton Vice President of Operations Kyllan Cody, who accepted the award from Suburban at their recent celebration. “The physicians, nurses, staff, and administration at Methodist Charlton work extremely hard to provide the highest quality of compassionate care to our patients.”

In the fall of 2009, Methodist Charlton opened a new 72-bed patient tower, which features large, attractive patient rooms, each with a flat-screen TV and wireless Internet connection. Mini nursing stations -- one for each pair of patient rooms -- provide enhanced patient quality and safety. An entire floor is dedicated to telemetry for heart monitoring, and a new surgery suite provides seven operating rooms, including an operating room specially designed for heart surgery. The tower also features rooms with special equipment dedicated to the treatment of orthopedic patients. The tower is part of a $116 million expansion project and investment in the community. Methodist Charlton is the largest medical facility serving the thriving Best Southwest communities of DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Lancaster, and beyond in Southern Dallas County, as well as one of the largest employers in the area.
