Prosper 28, Wilmer Hutchins 7

SOUTHLAKE -- Prosper recovered from a slow start with a 22-point second half, powering past Wilmer Hutchins 28-7 in a Class 3A Region II Bi-District playoff game at Dragons Stadium.

Prosper moves to 9-2 with the win and will face Argyle (a 49-7 winner over Commerce) in the area round of the 3A playoffs. Both Argyle and Prosper have already played in the regular season, with Prosper claiming a 35-14 win.

Prosper trailed 7-6 at the half, but took a 14-7 edge into the fourth quarter on a 35-yard touchdown pass from Javelle Allen (97 yards rushing, 177 passing) to Torii Hunter, Jr.

In the fourth quarter, Prosper pulled away with Allen hitting Darius Hunter on a 45-yard scoring strike with 8:48 to play. Tailback Shay McConic sealed the win with a 14-yard touchdown run with 1:32 remaining.
Wilmer Hutchins ends its season at 7-4, with receiver Keyshawn Henderson (4 catches, 113 yards) and tailback Winzor Young (86 yards rushing, touchdown) standing out in the loss.
