Community input sought for Superintendent search qualifications

DeSoto, TX - In January, DeSoto ISD Board of Trustees selected BWP and Associates out of Illinois to conduct the district’s search for a new superintendent. Current Superintendent Lloyd Treadwell announced that he will retire in June this summer thus launching the district search.

DESOTO ISD SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH:

WHAT: Community Input Sessions

WHEN: Saturday, February 26 - Session I – 9-10:30 a.m.

Session II – 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

WHERE: DeSoto High School Auditorium, 600 Eagle Drive

WHO: Parents, Business Leaders and Community Members

WHY: Gather community input for superintendent search qualifications

BWP will be conducting several superintendent qualification input sessions for district employees and the community over the next couple weeks as they develop a search profile for the new leader of DeSoto ISD.

All DeSoto ISD parents, business leaders and the community are invited to attend one of two special Community Input Sessions on Saturday, February 26 from 9-10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the DeSoto High School Auditorium, 600 Eagle Drive.

BWP will have a questionnaire for all attending to complete to rate the qualities sought to take DeSoto into the new era of STAAR testing and weather the finance constraints of the next several years.
