Third suspect in double homicide arrested Saturday morning
Dallas, TX - Dallas police and U.S. Marshals early Saturday morning arrested the third and final suspect wanted for the fatal shootings of two teenagers, including a former Lincoln High basketball standout, whose bodies were found burned in a car trunk last month.
Daryl Dotson, 19, of Dallas (pictured at right) was arrested at an apartment in south Dallas about 1 a.m. Saturday in connection with the murders of Steven Govan, 20, of DeSoto, and Jonathan Williams, 19, of Lancaster, police said.
Govan, who played basketball at Lincoln High, and Williams were shot multiple times Dec. 18 in a drug house robbery in the 4800 block of South Denley Street. Their bodies were placed in the trunk of a car and driven three miles to the 300 block of Town Creek Drive, where the car was set ablaze. The two men accused of being Dotson's accomplices, Nathan Scott, 18, and Debanair Wynn, 17, have already been arrested.
Dallas police said they received a 911 call Saturday that a capital murder suspect had been dropped off at an apartment near Camp Wisdom Road. A Dallas detective also received information that Dotson was at his brother's apartment, police said. Police and marshals arrested Dotson without incident.
