Cowboys-Giants moved to prime time
ARLINGTON, Texas -- The NFC East title will be decided in prime time on New Year's Day. The Dallas Cowboys announced that their winner-take-all regular-season finale against the New York Giants has been flexed to the Sunday night game on NBC. The game will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET, with the teams both at 8-7. The winner goes to the playoffs and the loser goes home.
It will be the Cowboys' sixth prime time appearance of the season.
The Cowboys have lost their last six Sunday night games. That includes three this season: blowing a 14-point lead to the New York in the fourth quarter of the season opener, the most lopsided loss of coach Jason Garrett's tenure to the Eagles and blowing a 12-point lead to the Giants in the final six minutes.
